Service and Support Engineer / Linux Admin – based in Germany

Our business partner, a large analytic database management software company based in Germany, is looking for a Service and Support Engineer / Linux Administrator (m/w).

Your tasks:

  • acceptance of customers’ support requests (1st and 2nd level support)
  • troubleshooting and remote analysis / maintenance
  • installation, administration and documentation of customers’ systems
  • on-site installations as well as support of the presales team within the PoC
  • trusted working time as well as independent work; flexible work organization and design
  • together with the team you provide reliable support including 24/7 on-call (additional compensation model)
  • efficient monitoring, change and incident management of internal and external customer systems
  • conscientious adherence to the SLAs

Your profile:

  • relevant experience with GNU / Linux system and network administration
  • knowledge of cloud systems such as AWS, Microsoft Azure and/or OpenStack
  • hardware experience with server, network and RAID
  • high communication skills, openness and customer orientation
  • flexibility; ability to prioritize and make quick decisions with limited information
  • structured and precise operation; excellent analysis and problem-solving ability
  • English (min. B2); German is a plus
