CHALLENGE

The lack of an internal IT department to take care of all the daily IT issues that could negatively impact sales in over 100 stores across Romania.

All IT issues were addressed by the German IT team at the Deichmann HQ in Germany.

Long chain of communication which led to unnecessary long times to ﬁx IT issues.

This had a negative impact, especially when the POS in the stores was unavailable due to an IT problem, which would directly impact sales.

They did not want to create an internal IT team, because they wanted to focus on their core business.

APPROACH

A complete solution for an IT helpdesk which would be manned for 365 days per year, from 08:00 to 23:00.

We involved and trained a total of 5 employees.

Planned the shift schedule. Optimized process, resource allocation; increased co-operation within the organization for efﬁcient operations.

Provided the operational management of the team.

RESULTS

The IT Helpdesk team drastically shortened the chain of communication, which led to a faster reaction time whenever there were issues. All of which increased the availability of in-store point-of-sale.
